CC Health Care is a small domiciliary care agency based in Southend, Essex. We provide personal care to people living in their own houses and flats. We are dedicated to providing high-quality in-home care services for elderly, disabled, or injured individuals. Our focus is on ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients while promoting independence and dignity.
We are looking for bright care assistants to join our team. This role is open to all abilities, whether you are experienced or looking to start a rewarding new career. We support all new joiners with full training off-site before starting, and provide ongoing support.
Job Description
Your Responsibilities:
Ensure service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their physical & emotional wellbeing. Our service users can require palliative care or support for illnesses, so therefore must be treated with compassion
To provide care delivery in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures for dignity & respect, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager
Ensure that the care service is delivered to service users at the times and for the duration specified in the care plan and agreed client contract
Provide companionship and mobility assistance for daily life in accordance with the specialised care plans
Provide support to service users for personal & continence care, medication administration, meal preparation and household tasks
Ensuring policy and procedures are followed for any manual handling or use of aids/equipment safely while providing care
To ensure that every record of care for each service user is recorded hourly/daily accurately in the Birdie system, completely and concisely
To ensure that any service user absence for a scheduled visit is documented on the Birdie system
To ensure that any missed or late visits, should there be any, are recorded and monitored on the Birdie system
To ensure that your availability for shifts is arranged in advance and that the rota is checked in accordance with the weekly rostering policy with the Registered Manager
To ensure that scheduled trainings are attended & courses are completed for maintaining the most recent understanding of standards, practices, procedures and skills
What We’re Looking For:
1) A kind, patient and reliable attitude
2) Good communication skills and a genuine desire to help others
3) Previous care experience is welcome but not essential — full training provided
4) Must have the right to work in the UK
5) Driving licence and access to a car preferred (not essential for all routes)
